Losing a pet is never easy, but there is a special way to honor their memory that can make a lasting impact on the future of veterinary care. Through the Rainbow Bridge program, pet owners have an opportunity to contribute to the education and training of veterinary professionals, allowing their beloved companions to leave behind a legacy of care that will benefit future generations of animals.

  • The gifting process is similar to human anatomical donation programs and is a way to memorialize a beloved pet and contribute to the future of veterinary medicine

 

  • Rainbow Bridge ensures veterinary professionals can participate in hands-on education and training in a lifelike environment, enhancing their skills to improve the health and well-being of future generations of animals
  • The impact of Rainbow Bridge is significant, as it allows veterinarians an opportunity to gain critical skills without using purpose-bred animals and/or euthanizing animals soley for the purpose of education and training

 

  • After completing their contribution to veterinary education, the pets are cremated, and owners may choose to have their pet’s name listed on VET’s Rainbow Bridge memorial webpage

 

  • There is no cost to a pet owner to participate in the Rainbow Bridge program
