Veterinary Education Team (VET) is the result of over 25 years of experience in developing, planning, coordinating, and producing veterinary continuing education experiences. VET’s founder/owner, Dave Little, is the son of a mixed animal veterinarian in Central Illinois and grew up in his father’s practice.

After graduation from Indiana University, with a degree in Sports Marketing & Management, Dave went to work for the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) in their Convention & Meeting Planning Division. Shortly after joining the AVMA, Dave was named the Division’s Director and held that position for 6 years.

Following his work with the AVMA, Dave joined Western Veterinary Conference (WVC) in Las Vegas, NV and opened the Oquendo Center, the veterinary profession’s first stand-alone education/training facility developed specifically for hands-on programming. Dave served as WVC’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) until March 2019.

Following his time with WVC, Dave joined Nexus Veterinary CE, a start-up veterinary continuing education company, and served as President of that company until August 2024.

Dave not only has experience in veterinary continuing education, but served for 2 years on the Professional Convention Management Association’s (PCMA) Board of Directors and held 1-year terms on Customer Advisory Boards for the cities of Washington, DC; Seattle, WA; and Atlanta, GA.
